With their tri-density rubber soles, Parcours boots offer comfort, allowing you to walk further without getting tired. The damping cushions in the heels act as return springs, resituating part of the energy used in taking a step. With their adjustable tabs and gussets, these boots fit snugly to your legs. The fitted ankles hold your feet firmly. The insole is made from absorbent foam over Softex lined rubber. The polyester interior of the boot dries quickly. These boots are handmade in France using primarily natural rubber by one of the Aigle's master rubber craftsmen.Weight 2190 grams.Shoe upper height : 40 cm, Calf depth : 41 cm.

Having researched welly options, I decided that as a professional dog walker - with fat calves - I needed a boot that was comfortable and durable. Having decided on Aigle Vario and read the reviews I understood these sized up generously, so as I usually take a 5-5.5 in shoes & a 6 in boots (with thick socks) I opted to purchase the 5.5 size. When they arrived I initially I thought they were too big even with generous socks, but as I added an 'ortho sole' to support my foot arch (I have problems with my feet!!) I am now pleased with the extra space as these boots are fairly slim fitting on the foot & ankle. They are a bit 'long' in the foot but as I have a fairly high instep I suspect a smaller foot size may have been too tight elsewhere.Overall, I am very pleased with the boots & am content to have paid for the quality - so long as they last the distance. I am not intending to wear them during the summer months when my walking boots will take over. The rubber is not rigid but light & flexible & the sole is sturdy with the footbed being soft and padded, my ankle and foot do not move about when walking. Maybe, in future, I may consider the ISO version for extra warmth but the reviews put me off the lining!!
